Jowell & Randy se unen en el año 2000 luego de llevar 4 o 5 años tratando de probar su suerte como solista.  Jowell había comenzado a grabar desde el 1996 en producciones del Reggaeton, sin ser muy reconocido.  Al igual que Randy.  Deciden hacer el junte y no es hasta el 2002 que se les da su primera oportunidad de aparecer en un álbum juntos como duo.  (The Majestic, Diamond Music), luego de eso continuaron participando en álbumes tales como Kilates 2, Dj Frank Time To Kill 2, Chosen Few El Documental entre otros.

En el año 2006 salen de Diamond Music y por primera vez logran colocar un tema en la televisión con video y fuerte promoción de radio, de ahí en adelante han sacado mas de 50 temas y los han colocado #1 en las radios de Puerto Rico, entre ellos el tema No Te Veo, (de su primer álbum Casa De Leones) que estuvo mas de 35 semanas en las listas de Los Billboard Latinos.  Llegando a alcanzar la posición #3 global, compitiendo con artistas de la talla de Juan Luis Guerra, Enrique Iglesias y el Grupo Mana.

Siendo nominados para estos premios en el 2007.  También ese año sacan su segunda producción discográfica titulada Los Mas Sueltos del Reggaeton.  Con este álbum comienzan a expandirse por Latinoamérica y hasta en Europa.  Logrando llenar conciertos masivos en países como: Chile, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, República Dominicana, Canadá, Estados Unidos, Holanda, Francia, Italia, Suiza, Alemania y Palma Mallorca en España, así como en Puerto Rico.

Jowell & Randy decided to collaborate in 2000 after 4 or 5 years of failed attempts to make it on their own as solo artists. Jowell started recording in 1996 in numerous reggaeton tracks without being well known in the industry, the same situation happened to Randy as well.  After deciding to go forward with the collaboration, it wasn't until the year 2002 that they both received their big breaks as a duo participating in the album The Majestic by Diamond Music.  Later on they continued participating in other albums such as; Kilates 2, Dj Frank's Time to Kill 2, Chosen Few: El Documental and others.

In the year 2006 they decide to part ways with Diamond Music and for the first time on their own achieve to place a hit song on TV with a video and strong radio promotion.  After that there was no stopping this duo.  They placed more than 50 hit songs on Puerto Rican radio in which all have received the #1 spot. These songs include the timeless hit No Te Veo (from their first album: Casa de Leones) which maintained itself for 35 weeks on the list of the Latin Billboards reaching to the #3 position beating out well known artists such as; Juan Luis Guerra, Enrique Iglesias and the rock group Maná.  This success led them to be nominated for a Latin Billboard Award in 2007.

In 2007 they released their second album titled: Los Mas Sueltos del Reggaeton. The success of this album spread to countries all over Latin America and Europe which led them to contribute massive sold out concerts in: Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Canada, The United States, Holland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Palma Mallorca, Spain as well as in their native land Puerto Rico.
